aaah. tegan and sara tonight at the electric factory. chris got me tickets for my birthday back in june. honestly i kinda forgot it was even coming up then we remembered a couple days ago and i have been totally geeking out since then. love them so much. i might go to the store and buy a new shirt for the occasion, i feel like a kid the day before kennywood picnic.

also after 4 batches of pumpkin cookies, i think i got the pumpkin cravings out of my system and now im worried about fitting my bridesmaid dress. haha

waking up each morning to see new sarah palin interviews, god what can you even say. god help people in this country to gain some common sense and not fuck up again. debate's tonight folks!

in case someone didn't know, chris and i are engaged. we got engaged last may 9th. we tentatively plan to get married may 9th 2009. its a full moon. and its also a doomsday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_rule). we dont really get geeky about that doomsday stuff but became obsessed with the equation. =doomsday. hha. so funny. anyway we dont have much in the way of plans yet. we're probably having the wedding/reception in pittsburgh however we're probably only inviting family in the interest of saving money so that we can go on a badass honeymoon. we might have a party bbq reception for friends and family that were out of the immediate family.

my sister gets married oct. 11th. which is only a couple days from now. its crazy. so i will be home from monday till the end of the week. tonnns of wedding stuff going on. soo much wedding stuff going on its insane.

i got a job on an oncology floor at the hospital. i'll work overnight which kinda blows however i am not a morning person and would much rather be awake all night than wake up at 5am to get to work.

even with all of this new mature crap going on i feel more immature than ever. im at a pretty weird place in life right now. sometimes i like the new stuff, sometimes i hate it. blaaaah. can't wait to come home though. im really excited to go home and hang with my family. everyone hasn't been together in years because my family is so spread out all over the country. ohh i forgot to mention my sister who is working on her PhD in Pharmacology at Purdue maaay move to seattle. which means badass vacation spot for me. hehe. i am very excited and i hope she moves there because since leaving pittsburgh for undergrad then grad she has consistently picked places that are in bumfuck countryville (williamsport pa, lafayette in). she needs to move to more progressive places. oh and recently i just read an article that was calling pittsburgh hip and progressive and i was all proud. haha. i really miss it! stupid philly and their awful sports teams (and ignorant people). segway to my story...the other day i was going around construction on the road and this driver was getting all pissed off becuse he had to slow down for half a block and as they finally went past they threw a big gulp of fruit punch out their window at me while i was riding my bike, yah im pretty ready to move. chris has one more semester!!

summer has officially started for me: i have poison ivy. everywhere.

ah i hate when i wake up with a headache. i did nothing last night to deserve this. i had today off from school. it is winding down i only have about a month of nonsense to go through then im free.

i just read an article in the metro about a place in natrona heights called tiger ranch that had over 600 fuckin cats there that were sick and hungry. wtf. first of all this is very sad. second, amie you need to get out of that area.

eeh. trying to write a paper right now. you know im struggling when i stop writing to post in livejournal. haha. im just tired of writing about stuff that has no interest to me. last night i could not fall asleep because i kept thinking about how im going to have to get a job soon and now the fact that i have never really been cut out to be a nurse is probably going to catch up with me. i should not be in control of my own life!!! someone needs to make career choices for me because i fuck it up. i just want to work at a coffee shop and ho hum around all day.. does that pay well? does it pay enough for me to eat once in a while because maybe thats all i care about at this point. i got the new allies cd in the mail yesterday. it is bomb. :) new lost is on tonight.. thats also a good thing although last weeks episode had me kinda bored (after talking to others i realize that i am the only one that thinks that though). chris got a new bicci. its badass too but he gotta put breaks on it. this is a list of the past 4 bikes he has owned: grey centurion, grey nishiki, grey centurion, grey nishiki. although the new grey nishiki is more of a tan/grey. is grey spelled gray? wtf. today is my grandmas birthday and the 23 is chris's birthday. i work that weekend, so i think we're going to celebrate it this weekend with the U2 in 3D show, cake and presents. although, i do not have any presents bought at the current time. i do better under pressure hopefully.

last night i had a dream that i was in supermarket sweep and i was driving my cart all around selecting lots of cheese and special foods that i thought would be expensive so i could win. i was rushing around but i was really happy to be on the show and i thought i was doing pretty well. then it got to the end and i got very upset because i realized i was disadvantaged because there was this asian lady filling up her cart with turkeys and steak. that was pretty much it. i guess the point of my dream was, vegetarians would suck at supermarket sweep. but i still really like that show.

ugh. for some reason i just do not give a shit about this midterm tomorrow. and its not just because im sick.
things i did today besides study for my incredibly important midterm:
rewatched last week's lost
walked to wawa for their chocolate carmel coffee
talked to my mom in the park
tried to double dutch with some tinny children
put bb's cape on him and made him fly around.
watched curb your enthusiasm- the one with crazee-eyez killa! haha such a classic.
blew my nose until it was almost raw.
tried to nap for almost 2 hours


im pretty certain that tomorrow is going to be terrible but for some reason i cannot work up the motivation to care. senoritis.

it has finally happened to me.

well im just sitting home and studying so its not a big deal. midterm tomorrow. once school is over and i get to have my life back again my head might explode. having hobbies and time to do them will be wonderful. i am not coming home for spring break, which is a bummer but it will be nice to lay around and hang out with people here for a change. i do wanna make it home this summer at some point. also my graduation is may 22nd which is a thursday. who the hell has graduation on a thursday. i dont know if my mom can get off work and i think i might end up skipping this. haha. i went to my sister's graduation and chris's, i think that's enough. they suck anyway.
alright im off to the italian market to get some awesome chocolate tea. then stttuudy.

in the midst of so many couples being at their happiest, chris and i have been not getting along more than usual. i think its the winter and the fact that we both hate school/work but yah. hes out for a walk right now and i was just finishing up a paper but the communication today has been like pulling teeth. i pray for an end to this week and a positive beginning for the next one so im not forced to go on a murderous rampage with water balloons and give everyone the cold. thats right.

chris's bike (the one to replace the other one that got stolen about 4 months ago) got stolen 2 saturdays ago, someone attempted to break into our appt building last saturday and yesterday someone was shot in the chest(at 12:45 in the afternoon!)in the subway station i get off to go to school. yah, crime.. gotta love it. frankly. im tired of a lot of things right now and i just watched this documentary called the corporation and i just get sick over those type of things. it makes me want to get rocketed off to another planet where people are sane and compassionate and caring for each other and the planet. im not trying to sound like some kind of hippy wierdo but seriously, im really starting to believe there are only a handful of decent human beings left in the world. basically, i hate people now more than i ever have. yay for becoming a nurse in a couple months.

well today is shit, but what should really ever be expected of valentines day?

after phil saw his shadow people started running away from the site yelling "fuck you phil" all wild and crazy like. ahha it was awesome. and this is the throng of people walking back from phils little areaand this is the company i had while driving home from punxy. thanks chris.

last night was pretty fun. I went and saw Kristin and Dave (in philly no less!!) Kristin and i sipped some pretty strong beers that are only brewed on dec. 6th each year! we're special? we got to meet joe gunn and also the strongest beer in the world was being drank by a man right beside me. i got to meet philly stacey, and everyone else there was also very nice. then off to johnny brendas to see life in bed where steeeeve shredded, i got a butt pin, and laughed a lot (the winter warmer and the horizontal=perv brewmasters.). that was also really fun. good drunken times all around. todaaaay on the other hand = headaches and papers which is not so fun. this weekend is a couple days on 14thompson with the psych patients. annnd chris is still in pittsburgh but today he was supposed to get his sleeeeeve done (which now officially makes him a badass). so i will post pictures if a. i ever get my camera working again (its like the first digital camera ever invented so the odds aren't good) and b. he's not too shy. :)

i start school (for the final semester!)tomorrow. even though i have done this so many times before, my stomach feels all shitty and twisted and i dont want to start again. i have to write a paper before friday that i was supposed to complete during the break about some stupid shit and i just can't get into it. i also lost/forget my username to the temple hospital computers because i haven't been in that hospital for two years so hopefully i have it written down somewhere because i need it for next tuesday or else. im going to have to search today.

also chris leaves tonight to go back to pittsburgh for the weekend and then i work this weekend. school + chris leaving for 5 days + me working this weekend = poo weekend.

on the up, my stove-top peculator is working nicely again so i can remain properly caffinated. now i better go look for that username now or i will be up a creek.

oh also, sad news about heath ledger, i liked that dude. plus the new batman with him as the joker looks really awesome.

besides being funny as hell, i have a small crush on michael cera after listening to him sing "anyone else but you" in his own awkward voice. so sweet. awwwwwwww
the soundtrack is good but the songs all sound the same (at least its in a good way).
